Combed Cotton

As we know, cotton is a natural, vegan fiber from cotton plants. Cotton socks are soft, breathable, and cause no irritation to sensitive skin. They have a good absorbency to moisture. They are suitable for everyday wear.

Combed cotton refers to the long straight cotton fiber that has been combed out of any short fibers or impurities. Compared to regular cotton, combed cotton is more durable and softer. This makes this fabric ideal for tender and sensitive skin. Moreover, it has good resistance to odors. Therefore, combed cotton is more expensive than regular cotton, and it is often used to make high-quality, high-count fabrics.

Polyamide/Nylon/Polyester

Polyester is a type of synthetic and abrasion-resistant fiber. It’s more durable and budget-friendly than cotton. Also, it retains color longer than cotton. However, polyester socks don’t absorb moisture and are not breathable. These socks are not suitable for sweaty feet. Polyester is often blended with cotton to increase durability.

Compared to other counterparts, polyamide (or nylon) fiber performs very well in strength and durability. It’s even more durable than polyester fiber. Polyamide is water-resistant and abrasion resistant. Due to polyamide does not absorb moisture like cotton, and it is not breathable. It is often blended with cotton to increase durability and elasticity.

Spandex/Elastane

Spandex is not a single fabric; it’s a kind of elastic fiber that has high elasticity. It’s often blended with other fibers to make elastic fabric. Our socks usually contain 2%-3% of spandex to retain the sock shape and flexibility. So your feet can have a comfortable fit. The top of the sock usually has the most of spandex.
